The One Shawnee Community Survey 2020 was written and produced by One Shawnee, a non-profit community development organization launched in 2019. One Shawnee’s purpose is to generate planned action that culturally and economically rebuilds the Ohio River and Shawnee National Forest regions of southernmost Illinois on a shared vision of the future using a focused alliance of community groups, leaders, resource partners, and stakeholders. 

 

We are local community leaders and neighbors who have come together to try and tackle the issues causing our regions persistent rural poverty and economic decline. Through community development, we aim to build stronger communities. 

 

The work of building stronger communities - all of us, together - requires a broad understanding of the attitudes and opinions of their residents. The One Shawnee Community Survey is a non-scientific method of gathering data on these opinions and attitudes and will greatly assist One Shawnee going forward in its mission. 

 

• The survey should be completed by September 25th, 2020. 

• It will take you 15-20 minutes to complete the survey.

• The data submitted will be reviewed by the One Shawnee Board of Directors and summarized into a report following the due date in the fall of 2020.

• The report will be published on this website and on our Facebook page (facebook.com/oneshawnee).
